Desert Sky Collection

Welcome to DESERT POPPY, a journal about jewelry, beauty, art and high-desert living. Here we explore ideas about abundance, nature, and creative community.

SUNRISE necklace- Hexagonal aquamarine and morganite, hand-knotted on silk cord, feels like a mala. Finished with a dreamy double-tipped amazonite pendent and clasping in front for ease, this necklace is truly unique with it’s sunrise hues and is delightfully wearable.

In the high desert of Sedona, there is a time in the evening when the sun is setting when a pink glow seems to settle over the land and all everything is caste in a rich glow. I look at the sky and try to drink up the colors that shift from glowing peach to the palest pinks and blues. It’s magical and gives me a sense of calm and deep happiness.

Luscious hand-knotted opals and amazonite in Desert Sky hues seem almost edible! Here you see the DUNE, SUNSET, FOSSIL CREEK, and DESERT FLOWER necklaces. All of these sumptuous pieces are hand-crafted in Sedona, Arizona at the base of the Red Rock mountains.

With this inspiration I bring to you my timeless jewelry collection called DESERT SKY. Here you’ll find key pieces in soft pastel sunset shades for layering and everyday necklaces you’ll not want to take off. Good thing my 14k gold-filled chains are water and tarnish resistant. These lighter shades in aquamarine, morganite, rose quartz, opal and amazonite pair beautifully with whites and neutrals, but look equally striking against darker textiles as the contrast created is superb.

In the DESERT SKY collection you will find necklace layering essentials like ROSE WATER and RAIN that clasp in front to prevent tangling. These pieces are perfect for layering with the tiny stone necklaces, like FOSSIL CREEK. Also, this line is customizable to fit your unique style- choose from varied lengths to achieve the exact look you want in these sparkling 14k gold-filled chain and hand-knotted necklaces. I have hand-selected gemstones and 24k gold-plated charms from ethical sources to incorporated into these elemental designs.
